MTN Nigeria Communication is a telecom services provider based in Nigeria. Established in 2001, the company offers mobile telephony, internet and data services. It had over 41 million mobile subscribers (2011) and holds 20.9% market share in mobile telephony services (2011). The company is owned by MTN group (75.8% share), Nigerian Partners (21.2% share) and IFC (International Financial Corporation) (3% share). The company also completed a 696 km fibre backbone ring in the country.
